Spore creature creator fighting mod12/29/2023 ![]() Usually this is enough to reduce the complexity meter by 2 dots, which is quite a lot. ![]() It turns out that if you turn all of them into normal gates, they somehow use less complexity. Imagine you have a max complexity adventure, but a lot of disguised gates. There's a trick discovered by user 101Gamer. As far as I know, it is possible to exceed the complexity limit even without this mod. I want to figure out when data loss begins to occur. That's a lot of space if you are efficient with complexity. You can go from full max to five green dots. I don't know if I said this before, but the complexity reduction is huge. Adventure creators have more legroom than ever before, and they can easily share it with the rest of Sporepedia to enjoy. And better yet, your adventure will still share. It works if you tell your player beforehand that you must use Inspect to play the adventure). Wanted to make a huge city but could only bother to make a town? NOW you can make your huge city! Always wanted to make a populous village square but kept running out of complexity? NOW you can do that! Always wanted to make a sprawling map full of different biomes and settlements but had to settle for just making a tiny microcosm? Not anymore! Did you have to remove characters with essential Inspect captions to supplement your "Talk/Examine X" objectives because creatures take so much complexity? NOT ANYMORE (This was my workaround for not having 6 speech bubbles or multiple acts. The mod however, extends the complexity meter so that you CAN put all of that into your adventure at last. If a creator had a particularly complex idea involving a detailed environment or a huge ensemble, he/she would have to split it across adventures or compromise the idea. And one of the only reasons to make adventures anymore is for other people, as much as possible of course within reason, to play them (at least to me). The cheat "freedom" sometimes doesn't even work. For eons spore players have had to deal with the complexity meter in order to get their creations to share. The number changes to me are very significant, enough to count as revolutionary. I also can usually fit what I want in the speech bubbles. I view the mod from this overly positive angle because I'm used to GA's limitations, which is why I rarely ever use complex AI scripts. I know those aren't the exact values or variables for those features (nor do I know if any of these variables affects anything else in the game's code), but that is essentially what this 'revolutionary' mod is doing. StartAdventurePoints = 100 instead of 15, and MaxComplexity = 5000 instead of 1000. *Basically, MaxSize(Scale) = 200%, now being 500%. I've basically been hoping that someone comes around and builds a mod that improves the editor, instead of doing something that's essentially a number tweak* I'm not saying it's impossible to make something nice out of the editor (There are some incredibly creative and well-built adventures), and I also said I'm looking for something that's unrealistically able to mimic an RPG. However, I had glitches pop up due to AI not running correctly (namely, enclosed spaces and AI scripts that work SOMETIMES), or needing an extra chapter because I needed 6 speech bubbles due to the character limit. I did a really nice one a while ago (when my account was screwed up). (If Gate A is off/open, make object B visible) I know I'm looking at it as a very unrealistic way to turn it into an RPG editor, but when it comes to telling stories: I like having as much freedom as I can possibly get, and telling a player as much information as I can without the need for breaking the fourth wall (like what Spore has forced me to do)ĮDIT: Oh yes, and for AI, I was thinking of not needing a chapter change in order to change objects. you really can't raise them too high off the ground), more speech pages (10 instead of 5), more chapter goal possibilities (Maybe 5 per chapter?), more characters in a speech bubble (major speaker only, scroll bars -ARE- available in them) basically things to prevent the need to switch chapters because you're "out of room" Stronger AI tools (and planes aren't on the ground. And although those things are nice for adventure creation, I've had my eye on mods that could possibly improve on the editor. I think he implied important as in a stronger overhaul (much like what PlatinumSpore does to the space stage).
